An easy and operational platform

The UrbiVerde platform provides value-added service providers with an environment to transform their algorithms and geospatial data into operational services that can be directly reused by end users. It also enables the transition from a prototype or business dashboard to a secure, operational application accessible to authorized users, without the need to manually manage hosting infrastructure, security, or service distribution.

Simple and rapid integration through robust, standardized technologies ensures interoperability with external services while maintaining control over the underlying business model.

The platform also features an integrated security and monitoring layer, including alert mechanisms for service owners. This approach enhances the security of deployed services, helps anticipate risks related to software dependencies, and improves service continuity for end users.

From algorithm to operational service

The UrbiVerde platform uses AntFlow, an orchestration solution developed by CS GROUP. This solution provides an interface for managing models to be integrated into the platform, which then handles the exposure of processing workflows as web services, notably through OGC API – Processes, an open standard for executing computational processes and retrieving their metadata via a REST API. Providers retain full control over their code, input parameters, versions, and publication lifecycle, notably through GitLab-based management.

Once integrated, a processing workflow becomes a ready-to-use service: end users do not need to know the underlying code, workflow, or infrastructure. Through a graphical interface, they can enter the required parameters, run an analysis, generate climate resilience indicators, produce maps, or obtain actionable results to support territorial decision-making.

From data to visualization applications

The UrbiVerde platform also enables the automatic hosting of turnkey visualization applications, making data and processing results directly accessible to end users. Value-added service providers can publish, with a single click, mapping interfaces, advanced dashboards, or interactive applications dedicated to climate resilience analysis.

The platform supports deployment as a serverless web service, provides the application with a dedicated URL, and manages secure access configuration.

Once published, the application can consume data available on the platform, display the results generated by processing workflows, and leverage integrated geospatial services such as tile services, map servers, and ready-to-use map layers. Access is managed and controlled through role-based permissions.

Data publication and valorization

The UrbiVerde platform provides operators with dedicated cloud spaces to organize, store, and leverage their resources in a secure and structured environment. These spaces enable the management of input data, generated results, configurations, metadata, and resources associated with services. Standard storage systems can be isolated to ensure clear separation between projects, users, service providers, and data owners. Access is controlled by the platform through fine-grained permissions based on roles, services, and use cases. Data Owners therefore retain control over their datasets while making them accessible to authorized processing workflows, applications, and users.

This approach helps unlock the value of existing data by making it directly reusable to generate indicators, power visualization applications, support climate resilience analyses, or facilitate integration with end users’ existing GIS systems.

Security, roles and governance

The UrbiVerde platform provides fine-grained management of roles, access rights, and authorized users, enabling precise control over the actions that can be performed on each resource: publishing, viewing, processing, sharing, or downloading data. This governance framework makes it possible to assign appropriate permissions based on the profiles of users accessing the services or data.

Monitoring, alerts and vulnerability tracking

UrbiVerde goes beyond simply hosting services: the platform provides an integrated security and monitoring layer within the operational environment. Visualization applications, processing workflows, and published services benefit from centralized monitoring to track their availability, proper functioning, and any potential anomalies.

The platform also strengthens security over time through alert mechanisms for service owners. In the event of an incident, unusual behavior, or a known vulnerability detected in the components used, such as a CVE, the relevant teams can be notified so that they can take prompt action.
